12th September 2008 we are holding
The BlueSky Challenge at
Drumlanrig Castle. This is a great opportunity to become involved in an exhilarating Adventure Race which will provide a day of awesome challenges as well as
raising funds for the Prince’s Trust Scotland.
BlueSky Experiences are inviting teams from all organisations throughout the UK to join the event and are guaranteeing a day of great adventure, an exciting challenge and above all great fun.
The BlueSky Challenge has been designed for teams of all fitness levels but a degree of physical fitness will increase your teams enjoyment of the day.The race will consist of approximately 6-8 hours of non-stop adventure with numerous stages.
The format has been tried and tested over the last 2 years with the running of the Buccleuch Property Challenge. Mountain Bikes are the main mode of transport with the format of the race being very fluid as it is up to the teams' to decide the order in which they visit the activities.
Planning Teamwork and Navigation are more important than pure fitness with the emphasis very much on team fun, we have specifically resisted the temptation to make it an elite event and want to encourage everyone to have a go!
